History
Founder, Alan Hochman, caught the fix and flip bug as a carpenter’s helper in New Orleans while studying engineering at Tulane University. His interest in urban development grew while living in Baltimore in the 1980’s when the City was selling homes for $1 to facilitate new growth near the Inner Harbor.
Hochman completed a Master’s degree in Urban Studies at night while working for Marriott Corporation in their real estate development division. He is considered an expert in urban retail development and was recruited by the Gap, Inc. to formulate an expansion program in urban markets throughout the United States. Concurrent with his corporate real estate background he continued to foster his interest and passion in renovating single family homes and investing in commercial retail properties in urban markets. High Street Finance, LLC leverages Alan Hochman’s experience by lending its capital and expertise to real estate developers in the Philadelphia market.
